River Hiking in Osumi Canyons & Berat Day Trip from Tirana, is a tour focused mainly in the river hiking during the dry season when Osumi River has not enought water for rafting. The Osumi Canyon is a river canyon in southern Albania, near the town of Çorovoda. The river, which passes through the town of Berat, flows through the canyon. There are many underground passages and unexplored caves throughout the length of the canyon.

For the present activity you should love the outdoors, own good health condition and have consulted the doctor during the year. Kids over 5 years old are very welcomed. Previous experience or skill is not required.

Sunlight protection cream, An extra pair of underneath, An extra pair of long trouser, t-shirt. During the spring, high water from melting snow makes it possible to explore the whole length of the canyon from the river.
The rapids are Class II, so one does not need prior white water experience to navigate them. At the end of the summer, when the water is lower, the full length of the canyon is not navigable, but there are various walks with opportunities for swimming in various pools and streams.
Leave Tirana at 07.00. During our journey we will have a short stop before we reach the canyons and start our river hiking. Along the way we will have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views of the Osum River and the high peaks of Mount Tomorri. Arrive at the canyons and will visit the Panoramic platform of the canyon.
River hiking in Osumi Canyon is going to last approximately 2-3 hours varying on the experience, size and desires of the group.
Going through the canyon, you are going to witness its unique ecosystem. The caves and different shapes of rock formation are going to astonish you, as there is an island not far from the starting point where you can jump and get some nice adrenaline rush.
The stories and legend of this place are vast, so along the way you are going to hear them. And this is not all, the canyon has a surprise for you: you are also going to be joined by several waterfalls, with its mightiest being the love waterfall.
In return we will stop in Berat, we will make a short visit to the city of “1000 windows”. The city, protected by UNESCO, is one of the main destinations in Albania. After the visit to Berat, we continue the journey back. Arrival in Tirana, end of our service!
